Of course I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and get some good family pictures too... but Davis didn't want to be a part of that either!
Perhaps he is crying because these are his parents in typical form...
And after seeing that sequence of events Davis is holding on to dear life and thinking...

But eventually he cracked a smile...
if only for a moment!
