Spring School Pictures...

When I heard that Davis' school was having spring pictures I instantly smiled knowing that these would once again be interesting to see! And sure enough, I can't help but smile when I look at them! Though not as entertaining as last time, they are still enjoyable!

Here he is posing for his portrait-he isn't quite sure what to think... but there is something about the picture that strikes me as cute. I guess mother's are always bias...

Next up is his class picture. There are three things that make me laugh.
1- Davis is by far the youngest in his class by approximately 3 months (he only made the cutoff by 6 days). Yet, he sure does look big compared to the rest of the kids.
2-This picture documents that there is only one other little boy in his class. I"m afraid that his first two years of life he has been surrounded by girls! More opportunity for him to learn how to behave like a gentleman I hope.
3- Lastly, it was pointed out to me that Davis actually has his beloved blanket in the photo! What in the world? He is the only kid with a blanket. While there are times when he is attached to it, most of the time if it's out of site it's out of mind! Plus it kind of grosses me out that he is carrying it around in a room that is inevitably full of germs! I do wash it all the time- but still makes me stop and reconsider packing it in his bag!

I hope you enjoyed! There will be many more pictures to come as I am way behind on my documenting and blogging! Hopefully, I will be able to catch up once we close on our current house this weekend! In the meantime, it's back to packing... again!

Precarious Situations...

I’ve recently have begun to find myself in precarious situations I never thought I would be in! As previously mentioned... we are about to be homeless in 1 week! While we do have a possibility for a home the likelihood of it closing before we have to be out of our current house is very unlikely at this point. So we are homeless...

Therefore, I find myself (and my boys) moving back home with my parents! I never would have imagined I would be moving back in! We’ve owned two houses and both have successful careers- what in the world are we doing moving back in!

Now to the next issue at hand, I guess in the previous paragraph I should have said that I “had” a successful career. Because in the middle of May I will be leaving the architectural firm to become a stay at home mom! Oh, I’m so excited and feel so blessed to be able to do so. I have full intentions of returning to work in a few years but for now we feel like my attention & efforts are needed at home! I hold no judgment on whether people choose to be a stay at home mom or a working mom. Both can be beneficial to a family and not everyone has the option to pick. However, we feel like this is what God is calling us to do in this season of life- and I feel honored to spend my whole day with this little fella....

Oh, and my load will double at the end of October with the blessed addition of this little peanut as well!

That’s right I’m homeless, unemployed, & PREGNANT! And we couldn’t feel more blessed!

So, you may have noticed but it’s been a while since my last post! I’m so sorry and I hope to do so much better in future! Life has been... well... crazy the last month! Pure Crazy! God has been doing so much and teaching me so much that honestly I’m still trying to process it all!

Some of you may or may not know but we are moving! I’ve never mentioned it on here before because I honestly never thought our house would sell (we were the highest in the neighborhood and we have a closed floor plan -as opposed to the popular open floor plan). But after only 3.5 weeks on the market, with an amazing amount of traffic, we had a great offer on the table! Crazy I know! Who sells their house that quick in this market? Umm... the couple who doesn’t really NEED to sell their house. We had heard of all the wonderful deals out there and just though we might try to take advantage of it! I’ve found myself feeling guilty over the fact that there are so many desperate people trying to sell there house and we really were just seeing what would happen! We were fine with staying or going- we just want to be wherever God wants us.

Ironically, we have no where to go! We need to be out in 3 weeks and the house we are interested in is a great deal on a “short-sale”. What is a “short-sale” you ask? Basically another word for a long drawn out process. A house that isn’t in foreclosure but getting close! There are tons of parties involved and things may or may not work out and it could be some time before we know! However, we are trying to be patient and hoping that our patience pays off by getting us a good deal and a house we will enjoy for years to come! In the meantime it looks like... gulp.... we will be moving in with my parents. I can’t even believe it as I type it! It will be an adjustment for everyone but I’m grateful my parents are willing to put up with us so we can try to take advantage of the market and make wise financial decisions!

In the meantime, Davis is doing great! His vocabulary is expanding everyday and he recently has grown fond of coloring! Daddy is becoming the fun parent and Mommy the not-fun parent (I tell myself that this was bound to happen sooner or later and is normal)! On the funny side of things Davis went and had his hair cut this past week before the arrival of Easter and cried the whole time! He wouldn’t even eat a sucker to calm down. Then as he and Gigi are walking out the door after everything is said and done, he blows the stylist a kiss! Can you believe it? What a stinker!

Ok- well there are some boxes calling my name that need to be packed! I will post more later! I hope you all have a wonderful Easter! I love everything about Easter (except for peeps- yuck)! I’m so thankful that my Redeemer Lives!!!!!
