Nothing too exciting has been going on around here! We are just unwinding from the holidays, trying to get back into the grove of things! Life is pretty simple and I'm really enjoying it! The boys are still doing great- Davis keeps us laughing, Noah keeps us smiling! On Thursday night Matt & I attended the annual Celebration of Service at the hospital. It was a Las Vegas theme & turned out to be lots of fun. The live band was great (did mostly Elvis music), Matt was a presenter (did great), I didn't trip in fall after having not worn heels in forever (quite an accomplishment) , & Matt was called the 2nd cutest man in the hospital. Who was the first? The President/CEO of course! I told Matt he was first in my book. Affirmation isn't Matt's love language though, so I don't think he places a lot of weight on any of this. A few pictures of a whole lot of nothing :) But pictures nonetheless!
Davis in Noah's bouncy seat... we can now testify to this products durability!
Noah's serious face... "whatcha lookin at?"
Davis' happy face...
& just being silly! Matt & I after our night out... we weren't able to get a picture before!

Noah- 3 months update
Noah had his 2 month appointment today even though he is almost 3 months! Somehow the scheduling got off a little bit but that's okay! The doctor said that he was doing great! He is still in the 75th percentile for height, weight, and head. He weighs 14lbs & 8oz and is 24 3/4 inches long! So he is still a big boy! These days he is Mr. Smiley and Davis and I love trying to make him smile! He is sleeping much better these days. Typically falling asleep around 8:00 pm, wakes at 5:00 AM, I comfort him & we fall back asleep until about 8:00! Although this morning he skipped the 5 AM wake up call and just continued sleeping- It. Was. So. Nice!!! His head & neck are getting so strong! On Christmas Eve he rolled over from his back to his stomach & has since done that 3 more times. The doctor said that was a little bit young but not unheard of. Once again, it's not an everyday occurrence and Noah doesn't really like it when he does it! Dr. Dixon stated that Noah was very smart, and I said "Brilliant really" and he laughed. He said "No, he really is smart. He is very engaging and not many 3 month olds engages me like he does." Yes, folks.... our kid is smart... at three months :) But he doesn't get that from me, I assure you! Noah has been on an apnea monitor for the past 2 months & Dr. D stated that if we get one more set of good readings then he can come off of it! Noah received 4 vaccinations & handled it like a champ! He has been sleeping a lot since & is slightly cranky but I probably wouldn't be in the best of moods after that either! His hair has already started to lighten up in color & is thinning out at a rapid pace! We will see if he too will become a blond headed boy like his older brother! I'm betting that he will! And that is about it in a nutshell! Oh- did I mention that he is extremely cute?

2009 Recap...
January....
In January life was fairly smooth! I was a working mom (times were tough in HR with layoffs around every bend), we were content in our house (having just finished remodeling the last room), we didn't know when we would start trying to have another child but hoped the process would begin sometime in 2009.
However by the end of the month Matt had a harebrained idea to put our house on the market & just "see what happens"....
February....
We focused on keeping our house clean for any showings. We decided perhaps we would start trying for another baby at the beginning of this month. On Valentines day my sister marked up her car pretty badly. She came over and we tried to help her get it off.. I mentioned I didn't feel well. She told Matt she "hoped I was pregnant." Matt said "wouldn't that be great." So much for being inconspicuous. Shortly thereafter on my 28th birthday, a plus sign showed up on a pregnancy test. Unfortunately, my body wasn't reacting all that positively towards the pregnancy and showed signs of wanting to reject it. I begged God for a healthy pregnancy & by His Grace things began to improve. Life at work was at an all time low- and it became apparent that an administrative person would need to be let go. I knew I was pregnant, we always had plans for me to stop working when we had two children, and asked that if anybody else had to go for it to be me. They reluctantly agreed but asked that I work a few more months for a smooth transition. No problem.
Oh, and we sold our house in 3.5 weeks... unheard of in this market. We didn't have any prospect in mind for a new house. Oh and the swing set we had just put up for Davis was sold (dollar for dollar) with the house.
March....
August...
We celebrate Davis' 2nd birthday & head to Gulf Shores with my side of the family for another beach vacation!
September...
We start to decorate both the boys rooms! Davis starts going to MMO twice a week and LOVES it! Matt FINALLY decides that our dear sweet second born will be named.... NOAH! My sweet friends shower us with love and presents due to his upcoming arrival! Matt took a spin around a a race track!
October...
I'm READY TO POP! To occupy time we work on Davis' halloween costume/accessory- Thomas the Train & try to prepare Davis for the arrival of his baby brother! On October 22, 2009 Noah Matthew Gorman enters our world and we become a family of four!

March....
Started out with a snow day that Davis enjoyed! We also saw & heard our little peanut's heartbeat for the first time! But most of March was spent packing and looking for a new house! At Easter, Davis announced his big brother's upcoming arrival. Unfortunately, Easter is also the time that he got his first throat infection (that would reoccur every 4-6 weeks for the rest of the year)!
July...I finally complete my time at work! We celebrate the 4th of July with friends, head to Sandestin with Matt for a work conference and get a wonderful vacation out of it! Just what this ever growing pregnant woman needed!!!! Davis also gets his ear tubes put in this month so there are no more infections!!!!! July was a good month! :)
April...
So busy packing & trying to find a home that I didn't pick up my camera to take pictures- now that really says something right there!!! We moved into my parents house for the next two months.
May...
We got a contract on a foreclosure that we loved! We spent sometime withour family before waiting for our closing date to arrive. I was also coming along in my pregnancy quite well! I was suppose to stop working in April but due ever changing circumstances they asked me to stay for longer.
June...
June...
We move into our new house, and start making the house our home! Davis starts sleeping in a big boy bed!

We start to settle in at home & prepare for the upcoming holidays! Davis excels in his role as big brother and Noah does a great job at being the little brother!

December...
Such fun as we celebrate our Saviors birth! We see Christmas through the eyes of a child and our world is filled with excitement and love. Precious time with family and memories are created!
It was a crazy, crazy year! One like no other! I wouldn't change a thing about this journey. God taught me more in this one year than he has in several years combine. He proved that he has a plan for our family and to walk by faith, not by sight. We are grateful for his love & grace. I hope 2010 is a wonderful year. I don't anticipate any BIG changes but I didn't anticipate them at the beginning of last year either! So you just never know! But I'm excited about what the future holds and can't wait to read next years post reflecting up on 2010!
