4th of July

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a good 4th of July! This year the 4th of July fell on a Saturday and I have to say- I LOVED it!!!! Matt had Friday off- so he got a long weekend- yay!!! My parents took Davis to the square for the 4th of July parade and Matt and I got a ton done around the house! It's amazing how productive you feel when you don't have a toddler going behind you undoing all that you have done:) But ya'll know I wouldn't trade him for the world!!!

In the evening we went over to the Stephens house for a good ol' 4th of July cookout! The food, the drinks, ALL the kiddos running around, and good adult company made for a wonderful time! We even got to see good fireworks without having to drive in a bunch of traffic!!! Doesn't get any better than that!!!

Below is Matt and Davis waving to the camera... oh, wait- it's just Matt trying to get Davis to wave to the camera! Amost honey... almost! The first order of business when we get anywhere is for Davis to take off his shoes. The kid hates wearing shoes (especially sandels)! Below is one of our regluars guest on the blog... Miss Avery Thaxton! Sporting her 4th of July apparel!

Next, we have a group shot! From left to right: Sarah V. with Ian (almost 5 months), Sara S. with Lauren (14 months), Liz & Anna (approx. 2 1/2 years), Rosie & Avery (15 months), and of course, me and Davis (22 months). I think I know why God hasn't given me a girl- don't these girls look sooooo cute in their snazy outfits! It makes my heart skip a beat which surely can't be good for my health :) So I must live vicariously through them!

And of course, we tried to get a shot of just the kids.... it went something like this....

Oh, I love my little guy! How did he get to be so big! Then again, how did I get to be so big? Oh yeah, I"m already 6 months pregnant!

Daddy lovin' on Davis!

This was the first time Ian has even been swinging! I think he liked it- look at that cute smile! Ian makes me excited and grateful to be having another baby- especially an adorable little boy!

Who hopefully will share the same dimples has his daddy & big brother...Those dimples are lethal I tell you!!! On both of them...

A view of Miss Avery's full attire-- work it girl! Thanks to Lauren's great sharing abilities Davis loved this little.... ummm... bouncing thing-a-ma-bob! I thought it was super fun!

Anna was queen of the slide and even went down head first a few times! Liz & Sara have started making dresses and everything they create is adorable! Both of the girls had dresses on that thier mommy made especially for the 4th! Did I mention that we are surrounded by cute little girls???

RJ taking Avery down the slide... who says you have to grow up?

Anna patiently waiting her turn for the younger kids to make their way up the ladder!

Sarah and Baby Ian pausing before bedtime for me to snap a quick picture! Unfortunatly, I didn't get a picture of Ian's legs! So many cute adorable folds....I could just eat him up!

Ms. Rosie ("Osie") and Davis watching fireworks! At first he really liked them but then he got so tired he asked to go "Night-Night"! So we drove home and tucked our cute little guy into bed! It was one of the best 4th of Julys ever!!!! Thanks everyone for a good time and thank you to all who have served our country! We love this country and are so thankful to be Americans!
