Not A Happy Camper...

Davis is attending a mother's morning out program this fall, one day a week for 4 hours. This program given him the opprotunity to socialize more with kids his own age and learn how to be away from his primary care givers for a short period of time. Overall, he seems to be doing great and adapting well. However, his "school" pictures would lead you to believe otherwise....

Being the bias mother that I am I thought a bad picture couldn't be taken of my son... I now stand corrected! The scan doesn't quite do the runny nose justice! Every time we look at these pictures we laugh! Poor kid is probably thinking "You mean to tell me they have cameras here too? First home, now here- it's like I'm being tracked by the paparazzi everywhere I go!" A traumatic realization I'm sure!

The Great Pumpkin of 2008...

It's my favorite time of year- FALL! Does it get any better than this? I love everything about this season! One of my favoirte things about this particular fall is being able to watch Davis discover all of the glory that comes with fall! Davis has always loved being outside but now more than ever- and the weather is so conducive to these beautiful outings! Today we went to one of our local churches' pumpkin patch! It was fun seeing Davis discover one of the symbols of the season... pumkins!

Wow- look at all these orange balls!!!

I sure hope we can find one we can take home!

Decisions, Decisions...

Oh- I like that one over there!

Yay!

Peek-a-boo! I see you!

At home with our fine selection! Actually, the one on my left was home grown in our garden by my daddy! It was the only one though so we bought it some friends! However, mommy and daddy say you can't buy true friends- they are priceless!

Davis' One Year Old Pictures...

Here is a link to view Davis' pictures from his one year photo shoot! All things considred they turned out pretty well! When Davis woke up the morning these were taken he didn't seem like he felt good but I had already had to cancel the photo shoot once so I thought we would go and make the most out of it! Once we got home he crashed and snuggled with me the rest of the day- that is when i realized just how bad he felt! Oh well- i don't think you can tell that in too many of the pictures! Also, we had never had any intention for me to be in these pictures hence my hair was just thrown up in a messy pony tail (and I'm trying to grow my hair out- depending on the day- so it still doesn't go all the way up)! I guess I've learned my lesson from here on out! So please, ignore me- I don't think it will be too hard =) At least Davis looks adorable!

Mountian Day 2008

Yesterday we went up to Berry College for Mountain Day! Mountain Day is a celebration of Martha Berry's Birthday (the founder of the college). This is more or less our small school's equivalent of homecoming! It was our 5 year reunion and we had a great time! The weather was perfect- and when I mean perfect- I really mean me perfect! We got there early set out our picnic blanket right underneath the perfect tree, played for a while, ate good food, and caught up with new and old friends! Davis loves being outside and enjoyed exploring and playing with all the other kids there! Below are a few pictures of this wonderful fall afternoon-

Hi-ya!

Reflecting on why students running up and down a hill is considered a proper way to celebrate the founder's birthday...

Happy Birthday Martha!

Look at me Da-da!

Smiling with Mommy!

Look at all these kids... =)

I think I'm going to go meet some of them...

First, there is Caroline Swoffard... looking cute in her Berry t-shirt and bonnet! Mommy always says accessories can make an outfit! Go Vikings!

Next, there is Miss Avery Thaxton.. I also got to have dinner with her too! Aren't I a lucky boy?

The girls sticking together!

That's ok because I met a new friend, Andrew Manley. They were sitting right behind us and I just crawled right over there and started playing with him! Fortunatly, my mommy and his mommy lived in the same dorm together their freshman year- so they got to catch up too! Andrew was so nice and patient with me!

This is the toy my Aunt Stacy, Uncel Jodey, and cousin Turner gave me for my birthday! It might just be my favorite toy! I L-O-V-E it! Thanks guys!

Avery likes it too!
